Revisiting: "Why Hello"

Just a quick post this evening. I worked through a nice chakra spread from Aeclectic this evening, and while I won't be posting it since I need to sleep I do highly recommend giving it a shot if you have some time. It's very insightful without being too harsh. A gentle nudge in the right directions as opposed to a slap in the face, if you will.

In any event...I scrolled back through some of my last posts just to have a look at my progress prior to my hiatus and noticed this post from late March. Given that the gentleman I read about and I have had literally no contact since that reading, I thought I ought to re-evaluate the outcome card a bit in light of reality. ;p

Originally I interpreted Death as a change, some dramatic and irreversible shift between this person and myself. Now, I'm going to attribute my wildly incorrect interpretation to the fact that I was giddy about this potential love interest, which certainly does make objective reading difficult, rather than on a lack of ability... In hindsight, I think this card was meant to imply a lack of progress between us. I noted that I thought of gestation, something growing and developing, but I think I should have paid more attention to the impeded progress of the child demon here. Something was growing and changing and shifting, but it wasn't between us; rather, it was on an individual level. (Perhaps he was changing too.) Meeting this guy and actually being somewhat interested in him was a big shifting moment from my emotional ruts, but nothing was meant to happen. The timing alone with me moving out of town all summer should have made that obvious from the start. So it seems as though I had some of the right inklings, but completely mis-attributed them to the wrong circumstances.

We learn and grow. Cheers.

  1. I thought of that, as soon as I thought of the Deviant Moon's death card (but it didn't occur to me, when I read the post you're referring to). :)

I tend to immediately jump on the "transformation" aspect of Death, too, but the last time the card turned up for me, over and over (the way it has been for the past month or so), I think it was pointing to a literal death: my dog was dying, and we didn't know it (although we were going to get him checked out for the cough that wasn't going away). I have been undergoing changes, but I'm a little worried that I'm missing something. So, I'm glad that I read this post today.
