Wands are fire cards. A reversal of the Ace could refer to a diminishing of the firey energy the card refers to, or perhaps a measure of overzealousness.
It is interesting that the Magical Forest Ace lacks the leaves or flames characteristic of the traditional imagery. Looking at the card, I feel as if this is missing because the card is a "generic" sort of energy. While it refers to new events, activities, etc., the energy could manifest in many forms. It's as though the Hand is presenting the reader with boundless possibility. Also, the wand looks more like a bat than something phallic in this depiction; almost an emphasis on taking action.
A neutral card, and I have a neutral impression of it. It neither thrills me, nor does it disappoint.
