Today is a 5 day. Tarot.com said so in my daily email, and I scoffed since that just seems to cycle from 1-9 in order. (This might be numerologically valid, and I have no clue, but it seems sketchy.) But here it is in the cards too (7 + 7 =14 = 1 + 4 = 5). I don't understand the number in relation to the day, unless changes are afoot that I don't know of.7 of Swords reversed. Today I did well in not shirking work and responsibility.
Page of Swords. The page, yet again. (Note: This card has shown up twice this week in daily readings, twice last week, and two of these times it has been in this same position.) It seems the page of swords is my new Strength card. I couldn't figure out what he might mean here, and I found a lovely blog that was relevant and insightful...and the entry was published on my birthday. Ok universe, I'm listening. What are you trying to tell me? I see the page mostly as a positive card, and upright here, I am inclined to read this as something that worked for today but may not be suitable tomorrow. What really sticks out to me is this description from 78 Notes to Self:
Their minds go nonstop and they're looking at things from all the angles, trying to figure out 12 different things at one time. This was me today! Get this chapter read and come up with discussion questions. What the heck is the breeding window on Ambystoma? Can I get 6 species? Do I have to change my experimental design? What if I do? How will I do it? Finish modeling homework. Wait, I need to study statistics. Etc. Etc.
I didn't get much accomplished, but I created a sort of mental outline of what needs to be completed yet before Tuesday.
7 of Cups reversed. Tomorrow I need to maintain my focus from today. Here, rabbit staring attentively at his full cups, but they are below him rather than above as usual. The image suggests that I should conquer my to-do list (which is diverse as these cups) with focus rather than letting my tasks get the best of me.
